The arrest of a Sacramento police officer has the district attorney's office reviewing cases where he has been called as a witness.
Officer Darryl Rosen is accused of sexually assaulting six women while on duty. He was arraigned on 17 criminal charges Thursday.
As a police officer, Rosen was often called to testify in court. The Sacramento district attorney's office said that the criminal charges against Rosen could damage his credibility.
"Potentially, it could impact a case where he is the only witness. And he is a very important witness," assistant chief deputy Jeff Rose said.
All cases where Rosen testified will be reviewed by the district attorney's office. It will be up to the courts to decide whether Rosen's testimony warrants a retrial.
