10 Arrested In Modesto; Drugs, Guns Found

MODESTO, Calif. -- Ten people are facing various charges after narcotics agents found drugs and guns inside a home and a storage shed.The Modesto Police Department’s Narcotic Enforcement Team searched a home Tuesday in the 2400 block of San Felipe Way and found Ecstasy pills, crystal methamphetamine, marijuana hash, and a loaded .22-caliber pistol, Sgt. Craig Gundlach said.Four residents of the home were arrested, Gundlach said. They were Kevin Smith, 22, Jaime Pascarella, 22, Tara Rigdon, 30, and Amanda Garcia, 28.
When authorities found out that Smith was renting a storage shed, they obtained a search warrant for the space in the 3900 block of McHenry Avenue and found three shotguns, a loaded sawed-off shotgun, a 9 mm carbine rifle and other items that police think were stolen.Six other people were arrested on charges of attempting to possess methamphetamine, probation violations, and parole violations after undercover officials answered calls at the home, Gundlach said."This house has been causing some concern for quite a while and they were thrilled to see us there," Sgt. Steve Hinkley said.
