SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- A man who killed a pregnant mother on Passover last year while driving drunk was sentenced to 12 years and eight months in prison Wednesday, officials said.Brandon Bowman, 26, was driving at least 60 mph on Wemberley Drive near Morse Avenue when he lost control of his car and hit Annette Brodovsky, 33, who was on her way to a Passover dinner.Brodovsky, a member of Sacramento's orthodox Jewish community, was remembered for her love of life and her talents as a teacher and musician.
Bowman was given the maximum penalty for vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence and other DUI-related charges.
