UPDATED: 3:36 pm PDT June 26, 2008

A jury could not come to a decision Thursday in the case of a nanny accused of shaking a Roseville baby to death.

Nine jurors wanted to acquit Veronica Martinez Salcedo and three jurors wanted her convicted.

The judge said the jury was given further instructions Thursday.

Salcedo was accused of shaking Hannah Rose Juceam. The child died in 2006.

A mistrial was declared last year in the first trial.
