Wife Disappears After Man Reported Missing

Blood Found At Home Near Georgetown

A woman disappeared exactly one month after her husband was reported missing near Georgetown.

Authorities said 47-year-old Patricia Ann Presba has disappeared.

Presba's husband, Ron Presba, went missing one month earlier.

"Now we have another bizarre incident occurring here," said Sgt. Bryan Golmitz of the El Dorado County Sheriff's Office.

At 10:45 a.m. Thursday, deputies were dispatched to a home at 4500 Meadow Brook Road near Georgetown, the home of Patricia Presba.

When they got there, deputies noted that the front door of the residence was ajar and had what appeared to be blood on it. Deputies checked the inside of the residence and noted more blood. No one was found inside.

Family and friends said Patricia Presba was last seen on Tuesday. They last talked to her on Wednesday. The family tried to call her on her cell phone, but there was no answer.

"They're two wonderful, loving people," said Elaine Thompson, a friend of the Presbas. "I mean, that sums it up right then and there."

Firefighters in late June found charred remains in a burned vehicle believed to those of Ron Presba. Investigators are still waiting for DNA results to positively identify the body.

Patricia Presba was described by police as 5 feet 7 inches tall and 160 pounds. She has brown hair and hazel eyes.

Anybody with information may call the sheriff's office at 530-621-6600.
