Pot Plants Worth $6 Million Seized In Raid

CROWS LANDING, Calif. -- Agents seized 1,466 marijuana plants worth more than $6 million during a raid Wednesday, police said.The plants were located on public land at the 24000 block of River Road near Crows Landing about 3 miles away from the nearest road, police said.The raid was conducted by drug agents teamed with agents from the California Department of Justice Campaign Against Marijuana Planting (CAMP).
The plants ranged in size from 6 feet to 10 feet tall.Along with the marijuana plants, agents also located a irrigation system consisting of generators, and pumps and pits using the Stanislaus River as a water source.No persons were located at the site but agents are currently investigation, police said.
