EL DORADO COUNTY, Calif. -- Human remains found at the bottom of a ravine have been positively identified as a man who disappeared earlier this year.Coroners from the El Dorado County Sheriff's Office said DNA evidence indicates that remains found in a charred sport utility vehicle in June are those of Kelsey resident Ronald Presba, according to Sgt. Bryan Golmitz.KCRA 3 recently obtained the search warrant and affidavit involved in the case against Patricia Presba, 47, and Jaime Ramos, 21, who are accused in the death of Presba's husband.
The discovery of a plastic bag containing blood, brain matter, skull fragment and human hair have led police to think that Ronald Presba was killed at a different location and not from a vehicle crash, police said in the written affidavit. The warrant states that numerous items were broken in the Presbas' house and phone lines were cut, indicating a possible struggle, police said. Both Patricia Presba and Ramos were found in Salt Lake City in July, and were formally charged with murder in connection with Ronald Presba's death.
