Strike teams from Sacramento County are headed to the Freedom Park fire, which is burning in Ventura County, officials said Monday.

Capt. Jim Doucette said engines from Sacramento Metro, Cosumnes, Folsom, and Isleton fire departments left for Southern California on Monday to help in firefighting operations.

Ventura County firefighters contained a 30-acre wildfire near a Santa Paula oil facility in a little more than six hours.

A Cal Fire strike team from Placer County will move to Southern California on Tuesday, officials said.

A Sacramento Metro Fire strike team was dispatched Monday evening to the Sesnon Fire in the San Fernando Valley.
