A local haunted house is being brought back to life in time for Halloween thanks to generous donations.

After being helped by the Best Buy of Folsom and other local businesses, the Hagan Haunted Mansion is planning to open its doors to the public starting next week.

The haunted house, which has been a Halloween institution in Rancho Cordova for nearly 15 years, was put in jeopardy after vandals allegedly broke into the haunted house and stole computers, video projectors, tools and air compressors.

Local teenagers help run the haunted house, which has twice won best commercial haunted house in America, organizer Jerry Jewell said.
