UPDATED: 11:48 am PST November 21, 2008

A Sacramento man has been jailed after allegedly chasing his brother with an axe and barricading himself for seven hours.

After officers set off a flash-bang, the stand-off on Hogan Drive and 51st Avenue in south Sacramento ended peacefully just before 11 p.m. Thursday.

A SWAT team urged Steve Jones, 39, to come out of his elderly father's house after his brother called 911.

No one was injured during the standoff.

Jones faces charges of assault with a deadly weapon.
