Topete Case Continued Until December 2009

Man Accused Of Killing Deputy In June Near Dunnigan

The case for a man accused of killing a Yolo County sheriff's deputy has been continued until next year, the Yolo County District Attorney's office said Friday.

Marco Topete will be in court on Dec. 7, 2009.

He is accused of killing deputy Antonio "Tony" Diaz in June during a traffic stop outside of Dunnigan.

Topete was assigned a new defense team earlier this year.
