Officers are looking into a report of a stranger grabbing a 13-year-old girl on a bike trail, Roseville police said Wednesday.

The girl was walking home from Olympus Junior High along the Miner's Ravine bike trail at about 3 p.m. when she was approached by man near the area of Roseville Parkway and Orvietto Drive.

The man allegedly came up from behind the girl and grabbed her backpack and hair, causing her to fall.

The girl ran home and was very frightened but not injured, officials said.

The man being sought is described as white, between 6 feet and 6 feet 6 inches tall and was last seen wearing a black baseball hat over a black bandana, a red hooded sweatshirt and possibly blue sweatpants, police said.

Anyone who may have seen this man, or has any other information, can call the Roseville Police Department at 916-774-5070.
