JERUSALEM -- A fourth Palestinian has died in the West Bank Monday, but the circumstances of the man's death aren't clear.
Palestinians say the 18-year-old was taken away by Israeli border police and beaten. They say when he was brought back, he died. The Israeli military had no immediate comment. Earlier Monday, a Palestinian gunman was killed after he broke through a fence separating Israel and the Gaza Strip and shot at soldiers. The army says soldiers returned fire and killed the attacker.
Soldiers also killed a man during a clash in the West Bank city of Nablus. Witnesses say the man was lighting another protester's firebomb. And in Jenin, soldiers killed an unarmed Palestinian motorist after his car rammed a jeep that was parked near a checkpoint.
