MODESTO, Calif. -- One man was killed and another man injured in a shooting at a Modesto tattoo parlor.

Shots rang out about 8 p.m. Monday at Still Pushing Ink on Carver Road.

Investigators said two cars pulled into the parking lot of the business and shots were fired from both cars.

Those who work nearby said they're frightened by the incident.

"Scary, very scary ... who would know stuff like this happens in north Modesto? But it does, I guess, every day," Leonard Costa said.

The cars involved in the shooting were described as a white Honda sedan and a dark-colored sport utility vehicle -- possibly a Ford Explorer.

The names of the victims have not been released.
