The NBC show "Last Comic Standing" has landed a Roseville family in a comical situation.

Phone

Hundreds of viewers recently called a hot line to vote for their favorite comics, but accidentally reached the home of John and Carrol Hanawalt.

The Hanawalt's phone number is only slightly different than the hotline, and they received calls from all over the country.

"For a moment, when we were trying to identify what it really was, I said to my husband, 'Maybe we're a part of this comedy. Maybe someone is pulling a joke on us,'"," Carrol Hanawalt said.

With the help of Surewest, their phone company, the Hanawalts were able to figure out the problem.
