SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- The Sacramento City Council Tuesday approved the addition of sex offender information to the Sacramento Police Department Web site.
Officials said the addition would give the community access to detailed information on "high risk" sex offenders living within the city limits.
The information includes the offender's name, address, physical description and a list of offenses committed.Officials said the site will also include a citywide pin map showing locations of "serious" sex offenders, but citizens must still must visit a police department location to view the state Department of Justice's Megan's Law application.Click here to visit the Sacramento Police Department's sex offender information page.
