A father and son were found dead inside their Stockton apartment Wednesday afternoon, and the beaten mother was found wandering outside.

Investigators said a family member discovered the bodies when she went to the apartment on North Center Street.

Before the discovery, the mother was found wandering. She had been beaten, and said she couldn't remember what happened, according to family members. That's when relatives went to the apartment.

"I seen my cousin and my uncle lying down side by side with a sheet threw over them," said Donna Dean, who found the bodies. "My husband pulled the sheet back and said, 'He's dead. Somebody shot him in his head.' So, I don't know. I ran out. I was afraid. I ran out and called the police."

The woman who was beaten is in the hospital.

"She's at St. Joseph's Hospital right now," Dean said. "And she's got a whole lot of gashes and cuts and stuff in her head, and two black eyes, and a bunch of bruises on her face. And I asked her what happened to her, and she said she didn't know what happened to her."

"She visibly had dry blood around her lips and dry blood around her upper body, her head," said Stockton Police Department spokesman Sean Fenner.

Investigators and family members think the victims may have been killed several days ago.

"Based on the condition of the bodies and the odor that's coming from the residence, there is a possibility it may have happened a few days ago," Fenner said.

Police say they are looking for 34-year-old Quincy Renard Green, calling him a "person of interest" in the case.

Green is the son of one of the victims that died. Authorities said they want to make sure he is OK, and they want to talk to him regarding the homicide investigation.
