SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- Starting Saturday, the Crocker Art Museum will be showcasing Sacramento Kings star Chris Webber's collection of African-American artifacts, documents, books and pictures.
Webber has added some new pieces to his collection over the past couple of years.
The newer pieces include a 75-pound book that is a tribute to Muhammad Ali, signed by Ali. Another is a detailed ledger of receipts from Virginia around 1790 accounting for the sale of slaves. The rare find was left inside Webber's locker at ARCO Arena by an anonymous donor."It's funny because I didn't think it would get this big. It means a lot because people get to know a different side of you," Webber said.
