VALLEJO, Calif. -- A piece of history from the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks is on display in Northern California.
The exhibit is called "Missing: Last Seen At The World Trade Center On Sept. 11, 2001," and will be at Hiddenbrooke Country Club in Vallejo through March 3.
It's a compilation of more than 100 of the actual fliers distributed by people desperately searching for loved ones following the attacks.
"Rumors were that there were thousands of people in hospitals unconscious, and that there were thousands of people wandering around disoriented near ground zero basically fed the hope among the families that their loved ones weren't dead, only lost," exhibit curator Louis Nevaer said.
Many of the candles, teddy bears and other memorials collected from New York City are also part of the moving exhibit, which will travel across the United States and eventually become part of the Smithsonian Institution.
