Teacher Accused Of Providing Alcohol, Porn
Band Teacher Placed On Administrative Leave

MODESTO, Calif. -- A band teacher at a Modesto high school is accused of providing alcohol and pornography to a group of students.
Deidra Ann Brauns, 29, is a teacher at Beyer High School.
Police said they believe Brauns allowed three students, ages 15, 16 and 18, to watch pornographic movies in her home, and on at least one occasion, rented a hotel room where adult material was provided.
Authorities said there have been no reports of a sexual relationship with any of the students.
The school district has placed Brauns on administrative leave.
She has already been cited for two misdemeanor counts and could face a felony charge.
