Stripper Mom Joins Morning Radio Show

Silvas Hired By Sacramento Station

The exotic dancer whose daughter was expelled from the kindergarten of a Christian school has landed a job on a morning radio show.

Christina Silvas

Sacramento radio station 107.9 The End said Wednesday that Christina Silvas, 24, has joined their morning show, the Morning Rave.

Silvas made headlines when she was told by officials at Capital Christian School that her 5-year-old daughter could no longer attend kindergarten because of Silvas' job as a dancer at a local strip club. She was told if she quit her job, her daughter would be allowed to return to school.

Silvas later agreed to quit her job for at least three weeks so her daughter could finish the school year, but said her daughter would not return to the school next year.

In a release sent to local media outlets, the radio station said it "felt that a single mother who gave up her job to provide her daughter with an education of choice deserved an opportunity."

The station said Silvas' first day on the morning show would be Friday.
