Student is assigned to the production department to work 20 hours per week, weekdays only. This position is usually assigned to students interested in the production of commercial spots, promotions, public service announcements and some special programming.

Qualifications

Preference will be given to those students who have completed or are enrolled in broadcast communication coursework, especially production. Student must be enthusiastic, organized, adaptable and computer literate.

Duties

The student works within the department assisting with those tasks required for commercials, public service announcements and programming. Specifially, the student will gain exposure to gripping, filing master tapes, set construction and commercial post-production editing. Some field work may be required on location as well as in the studio.

Shifts

Position No. 19: Monday through Friday -- days and hours are flexible.
