Student is assigned to work within the sports department for 20 hours per week, (16 hours for the weekend position.) The student must possess a well rounded knowledge of sports and be able to comprehend the play-by-play action of sports in season during the internship.

Qualifications:

Student should be of junior standing. All majors will be considered. Student must have excellent oral and written communication skills and be highly organized and motivated.

Duties:

The student works with the anchor or producer compiling scores, researching stories and game information; monitoring televised games, (logging action); and accompanying reporter and/or photographer in the field.

Shifts:

Position #13 Monday - Friday 2 p.m. - 6 p.m.
Position #14 Saturday - Sunday 2 p.m. - 10 p.m.
Position #15 Saturday - Sunday 12 p.m. - 8 p.m.
