Student is assigned to the creative services executive producer to work a minimum of 16 hours per week. The student will interact with both the promotions department and the graphics department.

The schedule is flexible and additional hours may be worked. All work, however, will be weekdays and will fall between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.

Qualifications:

The student must be a mature, detail oriented self-starter of junior or senior class standing who works well under pressure and can communicate assertively with anchors and reporters. Students who have taken writing-for-broadcast classes and who have previous television internship experience are preferred.

Duties:

The student works with the promotions staff, assisting with the production of KCRA's on-air promotional spots. This includes field work, studio work and post production work including tape logging and shot sheeting.

Additionally, the student will assist the department in creating outside media work, (i.e. newspaper ads and radio spots), as well as assisting with the production of public service announcements, (PSA's). By the end of the semester/quarter the student may be asked to write and produce a PSA.
